A classic cappuccino with snowy-white frothed milk on top: there can be nothing more enjoyable than a steaming hot cup of this espresso based beverage in every moment of the day. The milk foam is about 1 cm thick and the surface can show a white button surrounded by a coffee crown or some designs and shapes (for exemple heart, leaf, apple, tulip) created with latte art technique.
Make an espresso. After frothing the milk, add it to the espresso coffee pouring it gently into the cup.
Serve in a 150-160 ml cappuccino cup
According to legend, the name derives from the German Kapuziner, the habit worn by the Capuchin friar Marco D’Aviano. In the late 17th century, the holy man visited Europe's first coffee shop, in Vienna, and the drink served there was named after his brown garment.
